Description:

The Whale Museum focuses on the unique and wonderful aspects of the great ocean mammals, as well as serving as a public educational facility urging the protection of these amazing creatures. Visitors can view skeletons, photos and explanatory panels about various whale species and get an in-depth look at the three orca whale pods that traverse the waters around the San Juan Islands. Located on San Juan Island in Friday Harbor, the museum is easily reached by traveling on the Washington State Ferries to the island; the museum is three blocks from the ferry terminal.

Hours of Operation:

Open daily Jun - Sep: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Oct - May: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Admission Details:

Adults $6; Seniors (65+) $5; College students and Children (5-18) $3; Children under 5 are free.
